Dr. Schütz Géza Ákos

I graduated from the University of Pécs Medical School in 1996. Since 1996 I have worked at the Hungarian Defence Forces Balatonfüred Institute of Cardiac Rehabilitation. Beyond general cardiology, my main interests are the treatment of heart failure, the rehabilitation of patients with cardiovascular disease, and sports cardiology. During my professional development I qualified as a specialist in internal medicine and then in cardiology, and subsequently became a rehabilitation specialist. Since 2012 I have worked as head of department. From the start of my medical career I have taken a keen interest in disease prevention, healthy living and successful lifestyle change. Since 2007 I have been assessing patients with cardiac symptoms and providing follow-up care for cardiac patients in an outpatient setting. I believe that we can only be truly credible doctors by setting a good example, and as a father of two I am an active sportsman myself.

As part of my scientific work I have given lectures, including in English, at Hungarian and international conferences and training courses on several areas of cardiology.
