Dr. Pál Zoltán PhD

I was born in Szeged and obtained my medical degree in 1996 from Szent-Györgyi Albert University of Medicine. In the same year I also qualified as a health economist. I began my career at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Szeged Municipal Hospital II, and from 1999 until February 2024 I worked at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the University of Szeged (SZTE). I passed my board examination in obstetrics and gynaecology in 2001 and obtained my PhD in gynaecological infections in 2007. I have more than two decades of experience in obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound diagnostics, which I perform with a level „C” ultrasound licence.

From 2008 until February 2024 I worked as a university assistant professor at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the University of Szeged, where in 2016 I became head of the Postoperative Unit and in 2023 also head of the Gynaecology Unit. During this time, alongside everyday patient care and surgery, I played a significant role in running the department’s Menopause Clinic. I was also actively involved in training medical students, dental students, and junior doctors and specialist trainees, in both Hungarian and English.

Since 1 February 2024 I have been working in Budapest, at the Dél-budai Centrumkórház Szent Imre University Teaching Hospital, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, where I also carry out surgery. Surgical cases arising at Tagore Medical Center are also treated in this hospital, where the modern surgical facilities allow safe, high-quality care, so I can cover the entire course of my patients’ treatment.

I hold my private practice currently twice a week at Tagore Medical Center , where patients receive personalised attention in a calm environment.

In my work I always strive for the highest level of professional knowledge, accuracy and patient safety. I follow the same approach in my relationships with my patients, where building trust is a top priority.
