Dr. Kelemen Barbara

I graduated summa cum laude from the University Medical School of Pécs in 1998. I passed my board examination in internal medicine with distinction in 2004, followed by cardiology, also with distinction, in 2009. My specialisations are arrhythmology and electrophysiology (licence examination in device therapy: PM, ICD, CRT in 2013, and the international EHRA licence examination in device therapy and programming in 2017). I have worked as a doctor since 1998, with cardiology as my main specialty, and since 2006 I have carried out my daily clinical work and patient care at the Balatonfüred State Hospital for Cardiology. Alongside the drug treatment of patients with heart failure and coronary artery disease, I perform pacemaker implantations and electrophysiological studies. Since 2008 in Balatonfüred I have performed approximately 900 VVI/VVIR, 60 AAI/AAIR, 350 VDD/VDDR, 700 DDD/DDDR and 140 CRT-P pacemaker and ICD (implantable cardioverter-defibrillator) implantations, and I provide independent follow-up care for the patients I have implanted. Alongside my clinical work, I give scientific lectures and have published numerous papers.
